The Motion Study

Stillness within movement.

A study of movement, balance and impermanence inspired by the changing rhythms of Japan. At the centre of each image, stillness emerges from motion — while seasons, colour and time dissolve around it.

Circular gestures echo the Ensō, where movement is not used to describe the world, but to reveal another way of perceiving it.

Rather than freezing a moment, the camera allows it to unfold.

Created entirely in-camera through intentional camera movement. No AI or digital compositing.
